Lisa Hackwith has a background in art. It wasn't until after art school that she taught herself how to sew. Lisa fell in love with this new medium and quickly immersed herself in the art of making clothing. She began selling clothing online in 2010 and four months later she decided to quit her job to devote herself full time to Hackwith Design House.
Over the last three years, Lisa realized that she needed to design clothing that she loved and that would become staples in her own closet. Every one of her designs is an expression of her aesthetic and the way she likes clothing to feel. She delights in the details: the stitching, the color of the fabric, the way it feels on your skin, the angle of the hemline, and always, her goal is to create the highlight of your closet.
Lisa's collection is particularly special to us because we all worked in the same co-working space for the past several months; an experience while allowed us to not only watch the product come to life but also make real time product decisions.
